Surf Rescue Training at Lohis

World Surfaris is very pleased to have played a massive role in providing training to the surf guides of Hudhuranfushi Resort this week.

Gavin Clarke from AABLE TRAINING AUSTRALIA ran a 5 day surf rescue course for 6 members of our team in an effort to increase their skills and situational awareness in case of emergencies. Surfing is typically a high risk sport and we need to be prepared for any kind of emergency.

Lohis surf program manager, Richard Kotch, his wife Amy, and the entire surf team were put through their paces over the easter period, going through CPR, First Aid and Surf Rescue procedures.

World Surfaris proudly provided 3x spinal boards to the resort. One to be kept on each dhoni and one kept at the surf office at the top of the point.

We want all guests to know they are safe and in capable hands when they get to the resort. We take safety very seriously and helping our guides further their skills is a top priority.

This is just another reason why Lohis is the best surf resort in the entire world.

Thanks for the pics Rich.

Welcome to World Surfaris, how can we help?
