PNG

Discover the natural wonders of Papua New Guinea with World Surfaris.

This untouched paradise is a unique destination for surfers and non-surfers alike, a stunning combination of lush jungle, rugged coastlines, epic waves and a thriving marine environment just waiting to be explored.

A close neighbour of Australia, PNG offers a one-of-a-kind experience for surfers, their families and friends. World Surfaris represent a variety of traditional surf camps in PNG, as well as the PNG Explorer surf charter, which is one of the best ways to experience the true beauty of this Pacific nation.

Papua New Guinea is the ultimate destination for anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure. It’s surrounded by an aquatic wonderland, with warm waters abundant with marine life, teaming with brightly coloured schools of fish, dolphins, turtles and dugongs. With rugged, untouched jungles, the coastline is dotted with local villages that offer a unique insight into the rich culture of the region. Surfing PNG is a dream, combining epic waves, stunning scenery and a surf adventure that promises to challenge and inspire you every step of the way.

From October to April, PNG’s reefs, points and beach breaks turn on with the northerly swell, offering surfers consistent waves, from mellow and fun to fast and hollow. PNG ticks all the boxes – a remote destination with empty waves and relaxed vibes.

Since 1997, World Surfaris has been a member of the Surfing Association of Papua New Guinea (SAPNG), allowing us to represent some of the best surf resorts in PNG. With so many years of experience in this region of the Pacific, we consider ourselves the experts on PNG surf and will organise a holiday you’ll remember forever.

Papua

New Guinea

The surf season in PNG officially runs from November to April. Irrespective of the wind conditions in PNG, at least half of the breaks remain offshore, meaning more waves for you regardless of the conditions.

The waves in PNG offer something for every surfer, from powerful, hollow reef breaks to long peeling points and fun beach breaks for beginners.  Whether you’re an experienced surfer looking for a challenge, or just learning to surf, PNG has something for everyone.

Some of the most well-known waves in Papua New Guinea include Senta Pass, Malili, Vala Vala, Korongai, Naikasau, Lovongai Right, Anselm’s Reef, Drain Pipe, Two Trees, plus many more!
