Surf VatuVonu Fijian Villas

Fiji is one of the best surf destinations in the Pacific and the Mamanuca Islands needs little introduction. The most famous wave in the area is Cloudbreak, a world-class wave every surfer has dreamed of surfing. This wave is absolute perfection and known for producing amazing waves up to 20 ft in the peak of the high season.

Consistently ranked as one of the best and most challenging waves in the world, Cloudbreak is a wave to remember. A wave for experienced surfers, the mantra at this surf break is go big, or go home!

This is a fast-breaking left-hander that is only for advanced surfers. It breaks off Tavarua Island and is best between 3 and 8 ft.

Swimming Pools

A great surf spot for beginners, Swimming Pools has something for everyone, even experienced surfers looking for steep walls for big top to bottom turns.

Another epic right-hander, this wave is suited to more experienced surfers and has many sections that can produce rides up to 300 m long.

As the name suggests, this break is good when everywhere else is flat. In the right conditions, it’s a fun wave.

A spot with fewer crowds, it’s offshore in southwesterly trade winds and good on a high tide.

A fairly consistent wave that is more suited to longboarders when it’s under 6 ft.

Non-Surf Activities

If you’re not surfing, there is still plenty to do during your stay at Vatu Vonu Fijian Villas. You can rent kayaks and snorkel gear from Funky Fish below the home, or take off on the villa’s private boat and the captain will take you anywhere you want to go, whether it’s a snorkelling adventure or a fishing trip to catch something for dinner.

If you’d prefer to stay close to home, the villa is a great place to unwind and relax, with a beautiful infinity swimming pool that overlooks Tavarua and Namotu Islands in the distance. Chill out in a hammock with a good book, or have a siesta (or two) on one of the comfortable daybeds.

Vata Vonu staff can also arrange tours to Cloud (an amazing floating bar/restaurant not far from the villa), guided bicycle tours on the mainland and much more.
