Lohis Villas
For surfers, these villas are as close to the action as it gets, with the Lohis Deck and Lohis Wave Restaurant & Bar just steps away.
Each villa includes a king or twin beds, TV, mini bar restocked daily, wardrobe, air-conditioning, bathroom, and a small deck with a surfboard rack.
Beach Villas
Set just back from the palm-fringed beach, Beach Villas are ideal for surfers with non-surfing partners, family, or friends.
Configurations include king, twin, or triple share, with features like a TV, desk, wardrobe, mini bar restocked daily, air-conditioning, and an indoor/outdoor bathroom.
Enjoy timber decks overlooking the beach plus hammocks, sun loungers, and direct lagoon access. Beach Villas are located on both the sunrise and sunset sides of the island, a short walk to Lohis Left.
Deluxe Beach Villas
Deluxe Beach Villas offer the same features as the Beach Villas, with extra privacy and premium positioning. These stand-alone villas are not semi-detached, giving guests more seclusion.
Family Beach Villas
Perfect for groups or young families, Family Beach Villas sleep up to six, with one-bedroom and two-bedroom (interconnecting) options. Located on both sunrise and sunset sides, they include up to two bathrooms, two mini bars, and a larger timber deck area, with all the same comforts as the Beach Villas.
Ocean Villas

North Malé Atolls Surfing
Hudhuranfushi is one of the best-placed resorts in the North Malé Atolls for accessing a wide range of waves. The highlight is Lohis Left, a consistent reef break that peels directly in front of the resort and is surfable year-round. While March to October is considered peak surf season, Lohis often offers fun-sized conditions during the shoulder months and more powerful swells through July and August. With a capped number of surfers and direct access from your villa, it’s one of the most convenient and wave-rich setups in the Maldives.
Beyond Lohis, a further six quality reef breaks are accessible via twice-daily surf transfers onboard traditional dhonis. Spots like Sultans, Honkeys, Ninjas, Jailbreaks, Cokes, and Chickens offer a mix of rights and lefts, from mellow walls to punchier barrels – ideal for intermediate to advanced surfers looking to score variety within close proximity.

Lohis Left
Lohis is the crown jewel of the North Malé Atolls. A peeling left-hander that breaks right off Hudhuranfushi Surf Resort, it’s well-known as one of the most consistent waves in the Maldives.
At Lohis you can expect a deep, barrelling pit and rippable wall, or you can pick off the wider sets and enjoy a freight train ride all the way to the end section. In bigger swells, Lohis is more suitable to intermediate-advanced surfers. In smaller swells or during the low season, Lohis is perfect for all levels, including advanced beginners.
Right opposite all the action, the Lohis Deck and Lohis Wave Restaurant & Bar is the best vantage point to watch the waves roll in. Family and friends can relax with a drink in hand, take photos, mingle with other guests and Lohis surf guides, or simply kick back and enjoy the atmosphere.
Jailbreaks
Previously off-limits, Jailbreaks is a long right-hander with three sections, including a mid-barrel section. When it’s lining up right, you can expect a super-fun 300m ride!
Honkeys
Located off Thanburudhoo Island, Honkeys is a super-fun left-hander with a mellow take-off, with a 90-degree bend offering a whackable wall. It’s fun, but not always consistent.
Sultans
Sultans is one of the most consistent and user-friendly right-handers in the world. With long walls and barrel sections, Sultans has plenty of take-off spots, so crowds shouldn’t be a problem.
Ninjas
To the north is Ninjas and it can be seen from the deck at Lohis Village. This is a fun right-hander for beginner to intermediate surfers, depending on the conditions. With an easier take-off, Ninjas is good for both short boarders and longboarders alike.
Cokes (Colas)
One of the more well-known waves in the region, Cokes is a hollow right-hander which breaks at between 3ft to 10ft.
Chickens
On the other side of Cokes, Chickens is the fastest left-hander in the North Malé Atoll. It’s a swell magnet and can handle swell from 3ft to over 10ft, with rides up to 500m long.
How The Surf Pass Works
Planning to surf Lohis Left? The Surf Pass is exclusively available through World Surfaris, with all surfers required to book a World Surfaris package regardless of villa type. Introduced to manage crowd levels, the Surf Pass caps daily surfer numbers and helps keep more waves on offer for each guest.
Your Surf Pass also includes twice-daily transfers to nearby breaks, expert surf guiding and a complimentary massage. With capped numbers and high peak-season demand, securing your Surf Pass well in advance is recommended.

Hudhuranfushi Surf Resort serves up an impressive lineup of dining options to keep surfers fuelled and non-surfers satisfied. Start and finish your day with extensive buffets at the resort’s main Banyan Restaurant, or mix it up with one of the other dining venues scattered around the island.
Your all-inclusive package covers food and drinks at Banyan Restaurant, Lohis Wave, Indian Pavilion, Beach Bar & Grill, Tiki Bar, and Hiyala Bar. Every Wednesday night, surfers and their crew are invited to a BBQ & Cocktail evening on the Lohis Deck – a pop-up celebration of the surfing community at Hudhuranfushi.
As a bonus exclusive for World Surfaris clients, a dining experience at the renowned Sunset Restaurant is included once per stay (subject to availability and prior reservation).
Banyan Restaurant
This is Hudhuranfushi’s main restaurant and offers a delectable buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner at set dining times.
Start your day with baked treats, fresh fruits with natural yoghurt, the legendary ‘all-in’ omelettes, or for something sweeter, the delicious waffles.
Lunch and dinner is just as delicious, featuring traditional Maldivian cuisine as well as western favourites such as pastas, curries, stir-frys and a daily special such as grilled fish. Don’t forget the huge range of healthy salads, fresh tropical fruits and the irrisistible dessert bar.
Sunset Restaurant
Perfect for celebrating a special occasion, dine on world-class food and enjoy locally sourced ingredients at the Sunset Restaurant, a venue exclusive to Ocean Villa guests*.
Elevated over the lagoon with picturesque views of the sunset, marine life and ocean, the Sunset Restaurant offers a fine dining experience featuring an impressive à la carte menu or extensive buffet.
Indian Pavilion
Love eating local? The Indian Pavilion offers a more traditional buffet style dining experience with authentic North and South Indian cuisine, a speciality of the Indian chef at Hudhuranfushi Surf Resort. Enjoy lunch or dinner at the Indian Pavilion with your family and friends, located right beside the Banyan Restaurant.
Lohis Wave
The Lohis Wave Restaurant & Bar is located on the Lohis Deck, overlooking the world-renowned Lohis Left. The ultimate hang out spot for surfers and their families, Lohis Wave serves all-day pizza, bar snacks and drinks, in addition to a buffet style breakfast and lunch. Mingle with other guests and the Lohis surf guides over coffee or a cold beer, and enjoy watching peeling left-handers roll in one after the other.
Beach Bar & Grill
As the name suggests, the Beach Bar & Grill is a causal dining option located right on the water’s edge. Enjoy a variety of burgers, sandwhiches, salads and seafood as well as an extensive menu of beers, spirits and cocktails. The Beach Bar & Grill is the perfect spot to pull up a sun lounger and enjoy a bite to eat in between swims in the crystal clear lagoon. Conveniently open for all-day dining, this beachfront hangout is perfect for families with children or a sunset session with friends.
Hiyala Bar
Is there anything better than a cocktail by the pool at a Maldivian resort? Located near reception, the swim-up style Hiyala Bar is the perfect spot for a refreshing poolside beverage or pre-dinner glass of wine. Buffet style morning tea, afternoon tea and midnight snacks are also available at the Hiyala Bar.
Tiki Bar
Located near the dive centre, the Tiki Bar serves premium drinks and cocktails with live DJ entertainment most evenings until late.

Dive Centre
The abundant marine life and pristine waters of the North Malé Atoll make it the ideal place to dive. From bronze whale sharks, to tropical fish and coral, the Maldives is on the top 10 must-dive sites for international divers.
From Hudhuranfushi Surf Resort you can access 40 different dive points, including MS Victory Wreck, Octbetilla, Manta Point, Shark Point, Rainbow Giri, Lions Head, Paradise Rock, Aquarium, Coral Garden, Banana Reef and more.
Never dived before? Hudhuranfushi Surf Resort offers dive courses in English, German, Japanese and Dhivehi. Additionally, the resort offers certificates for PADI, Barakuda and CMAS. Equipment hire is available through the dive centre, including BCD, regulator, wetsuit, computer, mask, fins, snorkel, video camera and more. Diving experiences and excursions are available every day, weather permitting.
Fishing
A weekly fishing excursion is included for all surfers and their families during their stay. This is a casual and light-hearted experience every Tuesday, where surfers can connect and enjoy an activity together after a day in the surf.
