Vanuatu Surfing

Eratap Beach Resort is home to some of the best surf breaks on Efate Island, including a renowned right-hander and a lesser known but equally impressive left-hander. This region of Vanuatu, while not widely recognised as a top surfing destination, offers fun, mellow waves for all levels, with minimal crowds. 

Resort owner Tony, an avid surfer, guides guests to the best waves based on the daily conditions. The waves around Eratap are easily accessible without long boat trips, catering to various surfing styles, including shortboarding, longboarding, and bodyboarding.  

Surfing lessons and longboard rentals are also available at the resort.

Eratap Beach Resort’s dining experience is set on the beach with stunning views of surrounding islands. The chef prepares daily selections of local and international cuisine using the freshest local produce, including organic beef, fresh lobster, and poulet fish.
