Three-Villa Properties
Awera Resort’s three-villa properties feature three villas separed by a shared swimming pool and outdoor living space, perfect for larger groups who require more space and privacy.
Villa Lencois: 3 rooms accomodating up to 6 guests.
Akoa Villa
This newly built beachfront guesthouse features 3 rooms with ensuites, a modern kitchen and dining space and a private swimming pool boasting direct ocean views.
Surfing
Awera Resort offers guests a premium surfing experience catering to all levels, from beginners to advanced. The resort is strategically positioned offering easy access to some of the most desirable surf breaks in the region, with three waves just a short paddle away and an additional ten waves a mere 10-minute boat ride from the resort. At an additional charge, guests can access the world-renowned Playgrounds area, as well as Lances Right (HTs).
Surfers at Awera Resort can enjoy up to three daily speed boat rides to various nearby breaks depending on the conditions, ensuring time in the water is maximised. The resort also offers the flexibility of surfing on arrival and departure days, as well as surf photography packages. With a fleet of three high-performance speedboats, Awera Resort can cater to the schedules and preferences of all guests.
Awera Left
A fast left hander, super fun for a couple speed runs across the fairly shallow reef. This wave is one of four directly in front of Awera Surf Resort.
Omak Tidur
A long, slabbing right out the front of Awera Surf Resort with intense barrel sections on good days. This wave can be super challenging, and often seems surfable when it’s not. Always wait for the green light from your surf guide before attempting this one!
OTF
A perfect beginner wave out the front of Awera Surf Resort.
Awera Right
A super fun wave, offering up the odd barrel on the first section and a good section for practising turns on the inside. At size it’s a different story, transforming into a much longer and hollower wave.
Tikkus
An enjoyable, playful left near Villa Mentawai. On a big swell, this is a good, mellow option for intermediate level surfers or longboarders.
Icelands
Another swell magnet, this time a peak, that picks up any available swell. When Telescopes is big and pumping, Iceland can be 2-3 times bigger. A true big wave spot, this wave has been surfed at 20ft and is a great place for an adrenaline rush on your step up.
Suicides
A heavy and unpredictable left with gnarly barrels over a very shallow, live coral reef. When it links up, it’s a remarkable wave, suitable for advanced surfers only and definitely at high tide.
Hookers
A fickle wrap-around left that can be challenging. This wave needs a big swell to come to life.
Telescopes
Ridiculously perfect left, easily accessible from Awera Surf Resort, Togat Nusa Retreat and Villa Mentawai. A user-friendly wave with multiple good sections for barrels or turns. Telescopes likes a SW swell with SE winds.
Scarecrows
A bowling left in front of Togat Nusa Resort. Scarecrows picks up a lot of swell, and on bigger, heavier days requires a bit of paddling and a bigger board. This wave can offer a good barrel on the inside section after some big carves on the outside.
Seven Palms
Shifty lefts off random peaks. This spot, rarely crowded, picks up plenty of swell but can be hard to surf.
