Surfing Lohis
Quick Facts & FAQs
1
What’s included?
A Lohis surf trip booked with World Surfaris includes your villa, all-inclusive meals and drinks, daily minibar restocks, airport transfers, excursions and resort activities. Additional World Surfaris-exclusive inclusions add even more value, with the essential Surf Pass covering unlimited access to Lohis Left, daily transfers to 6+ nearby waves and expert surf guiding, plus a complimentary surfer’s massage and USD $50 daily resort credit for non-surfers.
2
What can non-surfers do?
Non-surfers at Lohis can enjoy spa treatments, excursions, various water sports, or simply relax on a sun lounger with a cocktail at the Lohis Deck or pristine beach. For something more active, join a surf dhoni to watch the action, snorkel the reef, or swim in the channel. The resort also offers snorkeling, diving, SUPs, jet skis, tennis, yoga, a gym and spa, plus a pool and crystal clear lagoon for swimming.

3
Can I book direct or through third-party sites?
Surfers need to book through World Surfaris to access Lohis. Direct and third-party bookings don’t include the required Surf Pass, and Surf Passes can’t be purchased separately or added to an existing resort booking.
4
How do I get the best deal?
World Surfaris guarantees the lowest all-inclusive price, plus exclusive bonus extras you won’t find anywhere else. Book early to access the best-value rates and secure your preferred travel dates and Surf Pass.
5
When should I go?
April to October is peak surf season in the North Malé Atolls, with year-round swell and user-friendly conditions common in the shoulder months. July and August typically see regular 4–6ft sets at Lohis.

Which villa should I book?
For surfers, the Lohis Villas are the best choice, located just steps from the wave and paddle-out zone. Those travelling with non-surfing partners or friends will love the Beach Villas, offering extra space, beach access, and options for Deluxe upgrades or Family Villas that sleep up to six. If you’re celebrating a honeymoon, special occasion, or simply want added luxury, the Ocean Villas boast overwater privacy, direct lagoon access, and five-star service.
7
How do I get there?
The resort is a 30-minute scenic speedboat ride from Malé International Airport. Flights into Malé are available from hubs like Singapore, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur and Colombo. You’ll be met at the airport by a resort representative and then transfer straight to the island via speedboat.

8
Is Lohis crowded?
With capped surfer numbers and guests spread across nearby breaks, Lohis usually sees just 10–15 surfers in the lineup, often fewer. Season after season, our guests return with the same verdict: “those were the best quality and most uncrowded waves I’ve ever surfed.”
9
Is the resort child-friendly?
Absolutely. Hudhuranfushi is ideal for families, with kids’ clubs, child-friendly pools, flexible dining and plenty of space to relax. Whether you’re surfing or simply enjoying the island, it’s a great setup for guests of all ages.
10
Is Lohis beginner-friendly?
Lohis and surrounding waves like Ninjas or Chickens can suit confident beginners when conditions are right, but it’s best for intermediate to advanced surfers. Total beginners can learn at Baby Chickens, a nearby spot perfect for first-timers.
